Crazy Crab Soccer

A tag game with taggers in the crab position.

    • 20x25 field

    • 1 ball per player

    • Balls

    • Disc cones

  • For the crabs to touch the player’s ball or for the Players to get across the field with their ball.

    1. 1-2 players are “crabs” in the middle-Crabs must be in the bridge position.

    2. Half of the players go across the space to the other side.

    3. If a crab touches the ball you are caught and become a crab.

    4. The second half of the team goes across.

    • Increase/decrease the number of soccer balls.

    • Additional obstacles for players to dribble through.

    • Introduce ball mastery skills/turns in the central area.

    • Alter the number of crabs to start depending on the size of your space.

    • Remind players to keep the ball close to them.

 

Reflection: Self-Awareness

1. Who feels like they improved their dribbling in this game? How does it feel to get better? How does it feel if you still need to work on a skill?

2. Who can shout out themselves or someone else for their hard work? (encourage players to use names or ask for names if they forgot)
