Passing Zones
Players practice passing and creating space on the field by moving through zones.

Split the field into 3 equal-sized horizontal zones.
Have players spread out in the 3 zones, and give a ball to about ⅓ of the players in different zones.

Goal is for players to be moving the entire game and to practice 1 and 2 touch passes.

Players can only run into a different zone if they do not have a ball.
Players who are dribbling a ball should pass after 1 or 2 touches.

Players have to pass to a player in a different zone

Players should be aware of the space they need to trap the ball.
Encourage players to move off the ball and make decisions.
Recognize players who call their teammates names when passing.
