Spider Tag
Players dribble and Spiders throw their webs to steal soccer balls.
-
If needed, set up a designated playing area using cones
-
Balls
Disc cones
2 pinnies
-
For the Spider to cover the player’s soccer ball with their pinny.
-
1-2 players are a "Spider” and hold a pinny- The pinny is their spider-web.
Every other player has a soccer ball.
On "Go" players dribble around the playing area trying to outrun and avoid the Spider.
The Spider tries to shoot (throw) their web and catch a ball. If they miss, they can just pick up their web and try again. If they catch a ball in their web -that player becomes the Spider and passes their ball to the tagger so they can join the game.
Play for as long as time allows.
-
If you need more taggers, add them!
-
Keep the ball close to your body.
Use foot skills (dancing on the ball or sweet spot taps) to get away from players.
