A great game for running and teamwork.

    • create a large square using cones

    • Bean bags or Batons to hand off

    • Cones

  • The goal of the game is to try and tag the other team by catching up with them running around in a circle.

  • 1. Demonstrate safe tagging.

    2. Divide the group into two teams.

    3. Have one team line up diagonally at one cone, and the other team line up diagonally at the other cone.

    4. Hand the bean bag to the first player in each line.

    5. On the leader’s signal, the first person for each team begins to run counterclockwise around the square, making sure to run completely around the lines.

    6. After the first person has run an entire lap, they hand off the bean bag to the next person in line and they then begin to run a lap.

    7. The object for both teams is to catch up to the other team and tag the player running on the shoulder to score a point.

    8. If someone is tagged, a new round begins at each cone with the first player in line.

  • ● Play a traditional relay race

    • Have the players practice handing off the baton

    • Have the team discuss who should go first and last to create a strategic order

Reflection: Responsible Decision-Making & Social-Awareness

1. This game can be very tiring, what do you do when you are getting tired?

2. How did you support your teammates?

3. Who can you shout out?
