4 Jump ropes , String, or Tape
Cones or small items to serve as game pieces
-
The goal of the game is to get three team members in a row on a tic-tac-toe board!
-
1. Set up a giant tic-tac-toe grid in the middle of the room using colored spots or cones.
2. Divide group into teams. Designate one team as the X’s and the other as the O’s. 3. Give each player a number starting from one to the number of people on each team. Instruct players to stand against a wall or some equal distance from the tic-tac-toe grid.
4. Call out a number. The two players with that number race to the grid. Each player chooses a square to stand on and makes either an X gesture or an O. If two players choose the same square, the player who gets there first wins the square.
5. Call out more numbers until one team has three players in a row or until there is a cat’s game.
6. Clear the board and start again.
-
Keep a tally of the score.
The speed element is not necessary – teams can just take turns.
Transition inside by using chairs to make the board
-
Do not let players move the other team's peices
