Catch Me If You Can

Attackers attempt to steal the ball before players are in the safe zone.

• Set Up

  • Split a large playing space with boundaries into 2 zones

• Equipment

  • Balls

  • Disc Cones

• Objective

  Attacker dribbles past the defender and into the other zone.

• Directions

  1. Players work in pairs.

  2. Attacker starts at one sideline with the ball, defender starts at the halfway line.

  3. Players switch roles if the defender steals the ball.

  4. Reset and continue.

  **Start with light pressure from the defender- the defender can not steal the ball but can get in the attacker's way

• Variations

  • Introduce a points system.

• Coaching Points

  • Encourage players to use Feint moves, Stepover move

  • Have applause applaud each other if they steal or get past the other one
