The goal of the game is to find the rest of your group by listening for the same animal sounds as your own.
-
Have players line up and number off 1-5. Assign each number an animal with a distinctive sound.
Ex:
1- Lion
2- Eagle
3- Cow
4- Horse
5- Owl
2. Make sure each player knows their number and which animal group they are in. The goal is for players to close their eyes and find the other members of their group by making that animal’s sound.
3. They must find each other blindly, by walking slowly around the room, holding their arms out as a safety bumper.
-
If playing with young kids or if you are in a room with several objects, the game can be played with eyes open.
To extend the game, have the players all share a fun fact about themselves once everyone has successfully formed their groups i.e. their favorite color, favorite thing to eat for dinner, favorite movie, etc.
-
Place students on the outside of the play area to catch anyone who goes in the wrong direction
Encourage players to play with their arms outstretched
