4 Corners Shooting

Coach calls out a goal number and players shoot on that goal.

    • Large Square with 4 Goals

    • Ball for every player

    • Disc cones

    • 4 Goals (put a colored pinny or cones next to the goal as an indicator)

    • Players want to shoot at the designated Goal as fast as they can.

    1. Players move around the area with the ball.

    2. Coach makes a Call.*

    3. Players dribble to the goal and shoot. If a player misses they retrieve their ball and continue shooting until they score.

    Coach Calls:*

    1. Call out Goal #/color and players attempt to score before you blow your whistle again.

    2. Call out 2 Goals players choose which goal to go to and attempt to score.

    3. Hit the center of the goal.

    4. Hit the right corner of the net

    5. Hit the left corner of the net

    6. Try hitting the high part of the net

    7. Kick from (distance) back (mark this with a cone you drop)

    • Extend area size for players to cover more distance.

    • Call numbers faster.

    • Encourage players to be aware of their surroundings

    • When shooting with laces, the toes of the kicking foot are pointed down
