Self-Management & Dribbling 2.0
Objectives:
SEL: Players will be able to set a short-term goal and make a plan for achieving it; identify & describe why one achieved or did not achieve a goal.
SOCCER: Players will be able to demonstrate an understanding of when and where to dribble/run with the ball.
Day 1:

5 min- Soccer Focus Intro: Dribbling Skill: Small Touches
15 min- Dribbling- Unopposed: 1,2,3 Come to Me
15 min- Dribbling- Opposed: Knock Out
25 min- Scrimmage

Soccer Skill Question:
1. When should you use small touches on the ball?
-When a defender is close to you and you are shielding the ball
2. When should you use big touches?
-When you are down the field and you are running with the ball in the open.
SEL Question:
Today we are talking about Self-Management-making goals to improve.
1. What is a goal you will have for next practice? It can be the same goal.
2. Why are goals important?
-Help us see our progress, they push us to improve, you always have something to work for.

1. What are two important things to remember when dribbling?
-Keep your head up, Sweet Spot Taps, Soft Taps-keep ball close to the body, Big Taps- For speed/distance
